Performing a Symmetry on Geometry

You can transform geometry by means of a symmetry operation. Symmetry is an operation in which an element is transformed by means of a mirror symmetry with respect to a reference plane.

Note: This command is available for sets of elements.

Before you begin: You must have created a Natural Shape feature.

  1. Select the geometry for which you want to create a symmetry.
  2. From the Shapes section of the action bar, click Create Symmetry.
  3. Use the Robot to modify the translation position of the created geometry. Alternatively, you can enter a value in the Translate section of the Selection panel.
  4. Use the Robot to modify the rotation of the created geometry. Alternatively, you can enter a value in the Rotate section of the Selection panel.
Note: You can also select the rotation plane selecting U, V or W.
