In the
Context tab,
-
Define the context of the simulation.
By default, the context of the review is selected as a context for simulation.
-
Select the
Append Intermediate Representation check
box to include intermediate representations to the interference computation.
-
Select the
Compute Between Intermediate
Representation check box to identify interferences that exist
between representations under the same product.
-
Define groups inside the simulation context.
-
From the list, select one of the following:
- Inside groups: to compute interferences
between the elements of a group. You can select one or more
groups. However, interferences are computed only between the
objects of the same group.
- Groups against groups: to compute
interferences between the elements of different groups.
Interferences are computed between all parts of one group and
all parts of other groups.
- Groups against context: to compute
interferences between the selected elements in a group, and the
remaining elements in the context. Interferences are computed
between defined groups against the context.
-
Click Add new group to create a group.
-
Add the required products in the group.
- Click Add the selected products to this group
: to add products to the group. Select products or parts in
the 3D area or in the tree to add them to the group.
The already added products in the group are highlighted in the
3D area and in the tree. You can cancel the
selection of any product by selecting the product again.
- Click Remove the selected products from the
group
: to remove selected products from the group.
- Click Delete this group
: to delete the selected group.
-
In the Specifications tab, select the options for
standard, and engineering connection specification.
-
In the Standard Specification area:
- Clash and Contact: Computes clashes and
contacts.
- Clearance: Computes the clearances lower
than the minimum clearance value defined in the
Clearance box.
-
For light interference simulation, select the
Activate check box and then the required
specifications under the Engineering connection
specification area:
- Check No Clash: Identifies only clashes.
- Check Contact: Identifies clashes and
clearances.
- Check Clearance: Identifies clashes,
contacts and clearances with distance less than the specified
minimum value of the clearance.
- No Check: Avoids computation for the
interferences with specifications set as No
Check in the Engineering Connection
Definition dialog box.
-
Select the following check boxes under Compute
quantifier area to compute the quantifiers and display
their values in the Quantifier column of the
interference simulation list:
- Minimum Distance: Computes and stores the
minimal clearance distance. This check box is available when you
select the Clearance check box.
- Penetration Vector: Computes and stores
the penetration vector value when a clash is identified.
-
Click OK.
-
To check the interference simulation results, double-click the
Interference results node in the
tree.
