Creating a Review

You can create a review in Design Review from search results, Collaborative Lifecycle app, and the Interference app.

This task shows you how to:

Create a review from Search Results or Collaborative Lifecycle App
Create a review from Product Structure Design, Functional & Logical Design, or Interference App

Create a review from Search Results or Collaborative Lifecycle App

You can create a review from a search results and the Collaborative Lifecycle app.

Before you begin: Search for the required object and, if required, explore it.

Select the required object.
- In the search results, select the required product.
- In the Collaborative Lifecycle app, select the required product.
From the Compass, click Design Review.
A new review is created.
Note: You can now hide a part temporarily by placing the pointer on the part and press Tab.

Create a review from Product Structure Design, Functional & Logical Design, or Interference App

You can create a review from the Product Structure Design, Functional & Logical Design, or Interference app.

Before you begin:

Note: If a review already exists for this product, function, logical component or interference simulation, this review should not be loaded, otherwise the existing review will be opened instead of a new one created.

Select the required object.
From the Compass, click Design Review.
A new review is created.
Notes:
- It is not possible to create a review using an existing filter in this context.
- At this stage, if a review already exists for this product, function, logical component or interference simulation, you can open it.
- You can now hide a part temporarily by placing the pointer on the part and press Tab.

The review is created in Design Review, using the selected product, function, logical component or interference simulation as context. The review is attached to the root product, function, logical component or interference simulation of the editor. It contains a pre-existing markup, which is activated so you can start working in it immediately.

Create a Review from an Authoring Window

You can create a review from an authoring window other than Product Structure Design, Functional & Logical Design or Interference Navigator, provided that you have the appropriate license.

Select the required object.
From the Compass, click Design Review.
A new review is created.
Note: You can now hide a part temporarily by placing the pointer on the part and press Tab.

The review is created in Design Review. The review contains a pre-existing markup, which is activated so you can start working in it immediately.

Create a Multi-Context Review

You can create a multi-context review in the navigation experience. Multi-context review can only be created in a navigation tab.

Search for the required root objects and explore them.

Note: A root object must be a part, product, or filter. A part or a product reference, a filter to this reference, and another filter to the same reference are considered as different objects.

Warning: If you add a same object (a part, product, or filter) as different roots for the same review, the review is only linked to one of these roots. This may create inconsistent features (such as measures, sections, and slides).

To create a multi-context review, do one of the following:
- From the Compass, click Design Synthesis.
- From the top bar, select Add > Content and in the New Content dialog box, select Review > Review or Review with markup.
- From the Review section of the action bar, click Review .
A new review is created in the navigation tab.
