Measure Context Toolbars

The availability of the context toolbars depend on the product you are using, on the context and on the type of action you are performing. This section describes the context toolbars available when measuring and when editing measures.

Graphic Properties

Lets you customize the graphical representation of the measure.

Notes: You can set the measure's default colors in Me > Preferences > App Preferences > Social and Collaborative > Global Design Management > Design Review > Measure Tools tab.
Engage Measure Item

Measures the item.

Engage Measure thickness

Measures the thickness of the item.

Engage the minimum distance

Measures the minimum distance between the selected items.

Engage the maximum distance

Measures the maximum distance between the selected items.

Engage the maximum distance from 1 to 2

Measures the maximum distance from one object to another, along the direction, normal to the first object.

Engage Measure along a direction

Measures along a direction.

X Direction

When measuring along a direction, defines the x-axis as the direction along which the measure should be performed.

Y Direction

When measuring along a direction, defines the y-axis as the direction along which the measure should be performed.

Z Direction

When measuring along a direction, defines the z-axis as the direction along which the measure should be performed.

Robot Direction

When measuring along a direction, defines the direction determined by the robot as the direction along which the measure should be performed.

Hide/Show

Hides or shows the selected measure.

Validates the measure.

Cancels the measure.

Add Comment on Measure

Lets you add a comment on the measure. To edit the comment, select the measure and click Add Comment on Measure again.

Change font style and size of measure text

Lets you change the font style and size of the measure text.

Deactivates and hides the elements selected to create the measure.

Activates and displays the elements selected to create the measure.

Deactivates and hides the perimeter measure.

Activates and displays the perimeter measure.

Deactivates and hides the thickness measure.

Activates and displays the thickness measure.
