Optimization Controls

Optimization controls enable you to adjust the error fit method and the calibration algorithm.

The app measures the quality of the fit between your test data and the projected behavior of a material model by calculating the error, or deviation, between the test data points and the locations along the projected curve. You can specify one of a series of algorithms for calculating this error.

Material calibration relies on numerical minimization algorithms that can minimize the errors between the test data and the computed material response.
