Importing Existing Material Data for Use as the Initial Parameter Values in a Calibration

You can use the analytical execution mode to specify a hyperelastic or hyperfoam model when you want to compute a relatively fast material response.

  1. From the Calibration Tools section of the action bar, click Import Material .
    The Import Material dialog box opens.
  2. To import material parameters from a material definition in the database, do the following:
    1. From the Import material from list, select Material on platform.
    2. From the Select material options, click .
    3. Enter the search parameters in the top bar, then click a material from the search results.
  3. To import material parameters from an Abaqus input file snippet, do the following:
    1. From the Import material from list, select Input file.
    2. From the Input file options, click and specify the input file you want to use.
    3. Optional: From the Units options, adjust the specified units to match the data in the input file.
  4. Click OK.

The app imports the material parameters and adds them to the Calibration Setup panel.
