You can use the analytical execution mode to specify a hyperelastic or hyperfoam model when you want to compute a relatively fast material response.

  1. From the Calibration Tools section of the action bar, click Material Model .
The Material Model dialog box opens.
  2. Optional: Enter a descriptive Name.
  3. From the Execution Mode list, select Analytical mode .
The dialog box updates the list of models to show the set that you can define in analytical execution mode.
  4. In the tree, navigate to the material model that you want to calibrate and select it. For more information about the specific material models supported in the analytical execution mode, see Material Models Available in Analytical Execution Mode.

Tip: You can click or to expand or collapse the tree of supported material behaviors, and you can click to filter the tree so it displays only material combinations of interest.

  5. Click OK.
The app displays your selection with initial default material parameters in the Material model section of the Calibration setup dialog box.
  6. Optional: Enter additional data into the Material model section of the Calibration setup dialog box to describe your material model.

For example, if you choose a hyperelastic material model, you must also select the specific isotropic hyperelastic potential. The app populates initial uncalibrated estimates for the material parameters automatically.
