Grouping Manufacturing Assembly to Manufactured Part

You can group a manufacturing assembly to a manufactured part, by dragging the assembly to the part.

Before you begin: Add a non-empty product structure as input.

About Manufacturing Assembly Structure Management
  1. Open your product data and start Assembly Definition.
    The manufacturing assembly appears at the center of a turntable.
  2. Expand the assembly down to the required sub-assembly.
    Manufactured parts and manufacturing assemblies appear on the turntable of the sub-assembly.
  3. Select a manufacturing assembly (source) that you want to group to a manufactured part (target).
    The source manufacturing assembly is highlighted.

  4. Drag the source manufacturing assembly to the target manufactured part.

    A new manufacturing assembly comprising the manufacturing assembly and manufactured part is created on the turntable.



  5. Expand the created manufacturing assembly
    The manufacturing assembly and manufactured part making up the new assembly are displayed on a secondary turntable.
