Grouping Manufactured Part to Manufactured Part

You can group a manufactured part to another manufactured part, by dragging a source part to a target part.

Before you begin: Add a nonempty product structure as input.

About Manufacturing Assembly Structure Management
  1. Open your product data and start Assembly Definition.
    The manufacturing assembly appears at the center of a turntable.
  2. Expand the assembly down to the required sub-assembly.
    Manufactured parts and assemblies appear on the turntable of the sub-assembly.
  3. Select a manufactured part (source) that you want to group to another manufactured part (target).
    The source manufactured part is highlighted.
  4. Drag the source manufactured part to the target manufactured part.


    A new manufacturing assembly comprising the two parts is created on the turntable.

  5. Expand the created manufacturing assembly
    The manufactured parts making up the new assembly appear on a secondary turntable.
