AML Define Specification

This row type is used to create a complete definition for an Approved Manufacturer List (AML) via a BOM import. The Importer will determine, based on the state of an existing AML, what AML parts need to be removed or added.

Each AML-DEFINE rowtype represents a link between a host company part and a supplied part. An AML-DEFINE rowtype must be specified for each link in the AML. The Importer will build the AML in the BOM file based on the part number. Other fields that may be included in the configurable match criteria are Revision Level, Revision Date, and Division/Product Type. The BOM AML is compared against the AML in MCC to determine what parts need to be added to or removed from the AML.

The AML-DEFINE rowtype does not have any child or parent rowtypes.

RowType=AML-DEFINE Defines a manufacturer equivalent relationship for an enterprise part in Materials Compliance Management. If the enterprise part or MEP does not exist, it is created. If it does exist, it is updated.
