Customer Data File Format Specification

This section contains tables illustrating the data file import format for the customer entity.

Each column represents a field, and should be separated in the file by a tab (the delimiter). Each row should be terminated with a carriage return.

RowType=C (Customer)

Creates a customer in Materials Compliance Management.

1	Rowtype	Defines the type of data in the row. Set to "C".
2	Customer Name	The name of the company purchasing the part.	Company "Name" attribute
3	Customer Code	A unique identifier for the customer. If no customer code is available, repeat the previous field (Customer Name) here.	Company "Organization ID" attribute
4	Miscellaneous1	Miscellaneous field that can be populated with site-specific data. This field is pre-configured to support any single text string entry to be associated to the customer.	Not imported in MCC

RowType=CP (Customer Program)

Creates a program in Materials Compliance Management and connects it to the customer.

2	Program	The name of the vehicle program using the part	Program "Name" attribute

Row Type=CC (Customer Contact)

Creates a person in Materials Compliance Management and connects it to the customer.

1	Rowtype	Defines the type of data in the row. Set to "CC".
2	Name	Name of the contact person	Field parsed into "First Name", "Middle Name", and "Last Name" attributes
3	Type	Type of contact person	Not imported in MCC
4	Program	If applicable, the name of the program for the contact. Valid values are: Program in a Row Type=CP (Customer Program) entry.	Creates the Primary Contact relationship between the Customer Program and the Person
5	Title	Job title of the contact person	Person “Title” attribute
6	Department	Department of the contact person	Creates the Relationship "Department Employee" between the Person and the Department with this name.
7	Mail Code	Mail code of the contact person	Person "Mail Code" attribute
8	eMail	Email address of the contact person	Person "Email Address" attribute
9	Phone	Phone number of the contact person	Person "Work Phone Number" attribute
10	Fax	Fax number of the contact person	Person "Fax Number" attribute
11	Cell	Cell phone number of the contact person	Person "Pager Number" attribute
12	Address1	Address line 1 of the contact person	Address 1 and 2 are combined into the Person "Address" attribute
13	Address2	Address line 2 of the contact person	Address 1 and 2 are combined into the Person "Address" attribute
14	City	City of the contact person	Person "City" attribute
15	State/Province	State or province	Person "State/Region" attribute
16	Zip/Postal Code	Zip/Postal code of the contact person	Person "Postal Code" attribute
17	Country	Country of the contact person	Person "Country" attribute

This row type is not imported into Materials Compliance Management.

2	CAS Number	The unique CAS ID number for the substance. Valid values: CAS ID of an existing Materials Compliance Management substance.	Not imported in Materials Compliance Management
3	Substance Name	The standard name of the substance. Valid values: Name of an existing Materials Compliance Management substance.	Not imported in Materials Compliance Management
4	Substance Restriction Type	Customer’s classification for the substance. Valid values are: Prohibited, Reportable, Restricted, Unrestricted.	Not imported in Materials Compliance Management
5	Substance Threshold Amount	Substance unit of measure. Valid values are: A positive number.	Not imported in Materials Compliance Management
6	Substance Threshold Unit	Substance unit of measure. Valid values are: %.	Not imported in Materials Compliance Management
Notes	A minimum of Substance Name or CAS Number is required. If CAS Number is specified, it will be used exclusively for matching.
