Substance Add Format Specification

This section contains tables illustrating the data file import format for the substance add entity.

Each column represents a field, and should be separated in the file by a tab (the delimiter). Each row should be terminated with a carriage return.

RowType=SA (Substance Add) Creates a substance in Materials Compliance Management.

2CAS NumberThe unique CAS ID number for the substance. Valid values: CAS ID that does not match an existing Materials Compliance substance.Substance "CAS Number" attribute
3Substance NameThe standard name of the substance. Valid values: Name that does not match an existing Materials Compliance Management substance with the same CAS Number. (Duplicate names with different CAS Numbers are allowed.)Substance "Name" attribute
4AliasesA multi-value field with name aliases, or synonyms, for the substances. Each value should be quoted, and multiple quoted values separated by a comma."Alias" attribute on Alias relationship of Substance
5IMDS Node IDIMDS Node ID of the substances. Valid values are: A positive integer.IMDS Substance Node ID of Substance object
6Alternate IMDS Node IDAlternate IMDS Node ID of the substance. This IMDS Node ID, if present, will be used on IMDS uploads. Valid values are: A positive integer.IMDS Substance Alternate Node ID of Substance object
7Heavy MetalFlag indicating whether substance is a heavy metal. Valid values are: Yes, No.Not imported in Materials Compliance Management
8% LeadPercentage of Lead in the substance. Valid values are a number from 0 to 100.Not imported in Materials Compliance Management
