Created
In the Created state, the Author, Leader, Compliance Engineer, or Senior Compliance Engineer can work with the Declaration to modify it and promote it to Requested. Requested
When the Material Declaration is promoted to the Requested state, the Supplier Representative is sent an email message. The message includes the Enterprise and supplier part number and identifying information for the part. The email message also includes the Due Date, contact information for the person who requested the Material Declaration, and any additional comments. The Supplier Representative can work with the Material Declaration, including promote it to the Submitted state. The Material Declaration will be automatically promoted to the Submitted state once the Comment is entered. Submitted
The Author or Compliance Engineer reviews the Material Declaration, and promotes it by entering a comment. In this state, the Supplier Representative can only view the Material Declaration, but cannot make any changes to it. If changes are required, the Author, Leader, Compliance Engineer, or Senior Compliance Engineer must demote it to the Requested state. Received
The Material Declaration cannot be promoted to Received unless a Reported Part has been added to the declaration. Once Received, the Material Declaration cannot be demoted to the Submitted state. When the Material Declaration is promoted from this state to the Superseded state, a notification is sent to the Supplier Representative. In this state, the Supplier Representative can only view the Material Declaration, but cannot make any changes to it. If changes are required, the Author, Leader, Compliance Engineer, or Senior Compliance Engineer must demote it to the Requested state. If the Author, Leader, Compliance Engineer, or Senior Compliance Engineer rejects the submitted Material Declaration, the system automatically promotes it to the Rejected state. Accepted
Once in the Accepted state, the Reported Part information is copied into the parent MEP. If that MEP is already reported, then this new information replaces the existing Reported Part information. The Supplier Representative can only view the Material Declaration in this state. In this state, the Author or Compliance Engineer can promote it to superseded or rejected, and must enter comments. Superceded
When a Material Declaration has been superceded, the Author, Leader, Compliance Engineer, or Senior Compliance Engineer can delete it but perform no other tasks. Rejected
If the Material Declaration is rejected, no further actions can be taken. It cannot be demoted, so the process would need to start at the beginning by creating a new Material Declaration. |
