Generating the Substance Threshold Report

The Substance Threshold Report is used to analyze selected BOMs to determine whether thresholds for substances or substance classifications of a selected Compliance Definition have been exceeded in specific materials associated with parts in the BOM.

The report analyzes the Selected Equivalent configuration of enterprise parts, meaning that if an enterprise part has a Selected Equivalent MEP it analyzes the structure of the MEP to find materials that exceed a threshold. If an enterprise part does not have a Selected Equivalent MEP, then the report analyzes the enterprise part structure, which comprises the enterprise parts and materials directly associated with the enterprise part.

If a compliance definition includes exemptions, then any substances referenced in materials with these exemptions are ignored in the threshold analysis.

The Substance Threshold Report can be generated for one or more Enterprise Parts, MEPs, Material Declarations (containing reported parts), and Reported Parts.
