Filtering Part Numbers When Importing

When importing a data file, you can use a file that contains part numbers used to filter the data imported from the data file. The part number maps to the enterprise part name in Materials Compliance Management.

Required access roles:

  • Baseline: Author, Owner
  • App-specific: Compliance Engineer

Before you begin: The filter file must be a text file containing part numbers with one part number per row.
  1. Create a text file that defines parts numbers to match parts for filtering during an import.

The wild card character "*" is supported at the beginning or end of part numbers in this file. For example the string “*abc” matches all part numbers ending with "abc". The string "abc*" matches all parts beginning with "abc".
