Creating Customer Part Numbers

You can create a customer part, also called a customer equivalent, associated with an enterprise part.

Required access roles:

  • Baseline: Author, Leader
  • App-specific: Compliance Engineer, Senior Compliance Engineer

Before you begin:

View the Customer Equivalents tab in the Compliance PowerView for a part. For more information, see Customer Equivalents List.

  1. Select Actions > Create New .
  2. Enter or select values for the following fields:
    Field NameDescription
    NameThe customer name of the part. This is the typically the customer part number.
    RevisionThe customer part number revision.
    Revision Date The customer part number revision date.
    DescriptionThe customer part number description.
    Customer Click to select a customer.
    ProgramSelect the required program from the list of programs defined for the selected customer.
    Model YearThe model year. Choose the year from the list.
    OwnerThe person owning the customer part number. Click to select a person.
  3. Click Done.
