List of All Manufacturer Equivalent Parts

The Manufacturer Equivalent Parts page lists all MEPs. When you open the page, the list shows up to 5000 part records. You can use the Show Search Criteria action to increase (up to 32000) or decrease the number of parts.

To access this page:

  1. From the Compass, click Social and Collaborative Apps and select Materials Compliance Management.
  2. In the navigation pane, select Manufacturer Equivalent Parts.

Columns

Column Description
Name Name of the part. Click any name in this column to view the Properties page for that object, or click to view the Properties page in a new browser window.
Revision The part revision number or code.
Type The part type or subtype.
Extension Blank for an MEP, or shows Reported Part or Supplied Part.
Description Details about the part.
Manufacturer The organization, company, business unit, or department that has the responsibility for manufacturing the part. Click any highlighted name in this column to view the Properties page for that manufacturer.
Manufacturer Location Location information for the manufacturer.
State The current state of the part in its lifecycle.
Compliance Types and Values If compliance values exist for a manufacturer equivalent part, the column heading displays the compliance type (for example, RoHS or ELV) with the compliance value underneath. The compliance value is displayed as one of the following icons:
  • Part is compliant to this compliance definition.
  • Part is compliant with exemptions.
  • Part is not compliant to this compliance definition.
  • Part is unreported or contains unreported parts.
  • Part's compliance is out-of-date and a roll-up needs to be performed to bring it up-to-date.
Title The company title, plant title, or location name that has allocation responsibility for the MEP.
Status Indicates whether the company or location has been approved to allocate or inventory the part in support of production. The value can be:
  • Required. The part requires this location for allocation or inventory
  • Authorized. The location is authorized to allocate or inventory the part
  • Not authorized. The location is not authorized to allocate or inventory the part
Preference Indicates whether the location is preferred for allocation or inventory of the part or not preferred.
Edit Click to change the location attributes for the MEP.

Command Description
Create New Manufacturer Equivalent Creates a new MEP in the database.
Delete Selected Lets you delete MEPs from the database.
Show Search Criteria Lets you search the MEP list using criteria you enter.
Export All Objects to Excel Export the MEP list to an Excel file.
