A conflict mineral declaration represents a collection of
conflict minerals data from a supplier that helps you to report on conflict
mineral regulations. This data includes answers to conflict mineral and
company-specific (also known as due diligence) questions as well as smelter
information.
All conflict mineral pages are available only if the “Conflict
Minerals Data Management option” is selected when setting up
Materials Compliance Management.
A host company uses a conflict mineral declaration, along
with conflict mineral compliance rules, to report whether or not their parts
are conflict mineral free compliant, meaning that their parts do not contain
conflict minerals having been mined from conflict countries.
