One-dimensional link sections are applied to lines that you want to treat as wires, ropes, or truss components in your model. By default, one-dimensional link sections are meshed using beam element types, but you can customize these sections using linear bar or parabolic bar element types. You can also introduce heat transfer effects to the one-dimensional link section by assigning the appropriate heat transfer elements. For more information, see "Assigning Element Types" in the scenario guide for the simulation you plan to define. One-dimensional link sections, when present in your model, are not considered in fluid flow or plastic injection simulations. | |||||||||
