The Group Manager provides a convenient display to view the status and basic parameters of all the groups in a model. You can display the Group Manager by selecting from the Group section of the action bar. The Product Structure displays each group name, and you can double-click a group name to open its editor. The Activity (A) column describes whether the selected group is deactivated ( ) or active (blank). You can activate or deactivate the selected group from the context menu. The second and third columns provide publication and update information: the publication icon appears if the group has not been published, and the update icon appears if the group is not up-to-date. The Status column provides more detail about the group's status, including color codes to indicate the severity of any issues:
For example, a Hybrid Legacy diagnosis is one type of error (red). This diagnosis indicates the presence of hybrid content from an older database release that is not supported. You can edit the group definition to include a single entity type to repair this issue. The Content column provides the number and type of content in the group.
For example, it might show the number of nodes or indicate hybrid content for a group
that contains multiple entity types. The Group Type indicates the
group creation method, such as spatial or geometric. You can filter the list using the filter icons in each column. The filter types depend on the type of content allowed. The Product Structure is filtered by name. Adding a filter "t" to this column would eliminate Manual Group.1 from the list. Limited entry columns (such as Content) filter the types of content (nodes, edges, etc.) to include or exclude. You can click anywhere within the manager to access context menu options for the highlighted group or groups; the options vary based on your selection. You can update one or more groups, edit the definition of a single group, and automatically repair inconsistency errors in a single group. |
