You can specify plants to bypass a CA implementation. Bypassing a plant has the same effect as temporarily inactivating all parts attached to the CA.
When the CA is released, changes released by the CA for all affected parts are copied and marked as passive changes in all assigned plants marked as bypassed. Passive changes are not visible to users in MBOM view and other MBOM reports and are converted to active (visible) changes during the next implementation of changes on the part in the plant.
Note:
the
Bypass Plant attribute cannot be used on the change if EBOM float on release is enabled.
Before you begin:
Access the Edit CA page.
Click next to the Bypass Plants field.
The Search page opens.
Select one or more plants and click Submit. See About Searches.
The Bypass Plants field is populated with the selected plant names, separated by semicolons.
