FEM Column Context Menu

The following options are available from the right-click (context) menu of the FEM column header:

Command Definition
Remove all filtersDelete all filters applied to the table. (Available only when filters exist.)
Color all meshes Colorize the different mesh regions in the model with different colors.
Reset colors Clear the colored regions in the mesh.
Initialize from > Existing FEM reps Select an existing FEM representation to assign as a contributing FEM for each part. The Selection Criteria dialog box lets you enter PLM attributes to find the specific FEM representation you want to use. If the selection criteria are not specific enough, the first existing FEM representation is assigned as a contributing FEM for each part (the first existing FEM that is loaded in the current 3DEXPERIENCE platform client app session).
Initialize from > New FEM repsCreate a new FEM representation for each part, overriding any existing contributing FEMs.
Complete with > Existing FEM repsSelect an existing FEM representation to assign as a contributing FEM for each part that does not have a FEM.
Complete with > New FEM repsCreate a new FEM representation for each part that does not have a contributing FEM.
Reset to initial contributing FEMsRestore the contributing FEMs to the original state (i.e., those assigned when the dialog box was first opened).

3D Shape Column Context Menu

The following options are available from the right-click (context) menu of the 3D Shape column header:

Command Definition
Color all geometries Colorizes the 3D shapes in the model with different colors, using the same color on parts with identical geometry (for which you will likely want to use the same mesh).
Reset colors Clears the colored regions in the model.
Reframe on Reframes the model with the selected 3D shape at the center of the 3D area.
Center in tree Centers the tree on the selected 3D shape.

Filtering in the Contributing FEMs Table

You can filter the contents of the Product Structure column and FEM column by clicking the filter icon in the column headers.

In the Product Structure column filter, click Attributes and choose the PLM attribute values to specify (equal to or not equal to). The filter can search for PLM attributes of FEM representations such as Name, Title, Revision, Organization, or Collaborative Space. Filtering can include any PLM attributes added by administrative users through PLM Extensions of the finite element model representation.

In the FEM column filter, select the status of FEM to include in the table. You can choose No FEM, Existing FEM, New FEM, or Reuse instance.

After specifying the attribute to filter on, click one of the following buttons:

Validate and apply current filter
Cancel current filter modifications
Activate/deactivate filter

The 3D model display is also updated according to your filtering selections. Any subassemblies or parts that are filtered out of the Contributing FEMs table are also hidden in the model. This filtering allows you to focus on areas of interest.
