Locating Nodes and Elements by Their Numbers

You can highlight the nodes or elements corresponding to the set of label numbers that you specify.

  1. From the Display section of the action bar, click Numbering Visualization .
  2. Specify whether you want to highlight nodes or elements.
  3. For elements, select Display node numbering to display node numbering in conjunction with element labels.

    Click the Color Label field to the right of Display node numbering to select a new color for the node labels. To aid visualization, this color can be different from the one you choose for the element labels.

  4. Enter the label numbers of the nodes or elements that you want to highlight in the Labels field.

    You can enter multiple numbers or number ranges to locate multiple nodes or elements. Use commas or semicolons to separate entries.

  5. Click the Color Label field to select a new color for the number labels.
    The Color Chooser appears. Use one of the methods in the chooser to pick a new label color.
    Tip: Expand Custom colors to add selected colors to a color palette for use with your models.
  6. Click OK.

The nodes or elements you specified are highlighted in the 3D area.
