About Result Axis Systems

You can create result axis systems in Physics Results Explorer that are independent of those created in other apps before the simulation.

You can define result axis systems at any time to transform field output results. Result axis systems are either fixed in space or moving:

  • Fixed result axis systems are fixed in space, in both position and rotation, regardless of the motion of the model.
  • Moving result axis systems are fixed, in both position and rotation, to the selected node in your model designated as the origin. As the model deforms in sequential steps and frames, the result axis system moves with the model.

Physics Results Explorer computes result axis systems immediately for the current step, frame, and load case. Result axis systems are based on the deformed coordinates of the nodes you specify. The deformation scale is also considered in the display of the result axis system.

Result axis systems can be viewed or hidden from the Display Groups dialog box.
