Exporting Strain Gauge Definitions

You can export the strain gauge definitions (including the origin, gauge measurement direction, and gauge set direction) as a comma separated value (.csv) file. The .csv file is a convenient way to share the data for further analysis.

  1. From the Sensors tab of the Feature Manager, select the strain gauges you want to export, right-click, and select Export definition.

Tip: You can also export strain gauges from the tree.

The Save As dialog box appears.
  2. Name the file.
  3. Browse to the location where you want to save the strain gauge data.

Note: The folder name cannot contain Unicode characters, such as accents and other diacritical marks.

  4. Click Save.

The strain gauge definition is exported to the specified location. If the exported strain gauge sensor has multiple gauge values, the rows are appended with different gauge definitions; however, the sensor name remains the same.
