Changing the Deformation and Entity Labels of Plots
The selections in
the
Deformation group box control the presence and
degree of deformation in your results. The
Entity labels group box control the visibility
of node and element labels in the model.
Before you begin: You
must have a contour plot, isocontour plot, symbol plot, or color code plot
displayed before you can modify plot options.
To display the plot options, do one of the following:
Click the
results plot and select the
Plot options
tool in the
context toolbar.
Double-click the
results plot.
In
the
Feature Manager,
either double-click the plot you want to modify or highlight the plot in the
Plots
list, right-click, and select
Edit.
Click the
Options tab (
,
, or
) to display the
Deformation group box at the top of the tabbed
page.
Select
Show deformation to display the deformed
model, or clear this option to display the undeformed model.
If
Show deformation is selected, change the
Scale factor of the deformation.
By default, the deformed view of the model is displayed with an
automatically calculated deformation scale factor. You can change this value to
adjust the deformation scale factor for the current plot, and you can lock in a
custom value as the deformation scale factor for every subsequent plot you
open. If
is displayed, the deformation
scale factor is currently locked and common to all plots you open; if
is displayed, the deformation
scale factor can be different for each plot. If you want to restore the
automatic deformation scale factor after you have modified it, click
.
Click
Show node labels to display node labels on the
model.
Click
Show element labels to display element labels
on the model.
Click
Close to exit the editor.
The plot changes according to your specifications.
