Choose from Time history, Scale factor, Scan single frame, Harmonic, Loop over modes, and Streamlines, according to the available simulation results. The animation for a single plot proceeds as follows: - Time history: The animation player increments according to time intervals and the model view and legend Min and Max values update in real time.
- Scale factor: The animation player steps through percentage intervals determined by the number of frames you select, and the model view changes accordingly in real time.
- Scan single frame: The animation player steps through percentage intervals determined by the number of frames you select. The model view and legend Min and Max values update in real time as an incremental percentage of the total range.
- Harmonic: The animation player steps through different angles determined by the number of frames you select, and the model view changes accordingly in real time. Harmonic animation produces a sequence of images that displays the movement of different parts of the structure during a steady state dynamics step.
- Loop over modes: The animation player loops through the frames according to the number of frames and the length of the time interval that you select. The model view and legend Min and Max values update in real time.
- Streamlines: The animation player steps through the path of the streamline for the active frame.
For multiple plot displays, choose Time based, Frame based, Loop over modes, Time history/Loop over, Scale factor, or Scan single frame, according to the type of steps present in your assortment of plots. When all plots belong to time based steps, the plots are animated as follows: - Time based (default): All plots animate on a single timeline that includes all timestamps from all steps. Each increment displays a matching frame. Other plots find the nearest timestamp and corresponding frame. Plots with steps of shorter duration display their final frame while the other plots complete the animation.
- Frame based: All plots start at their first frame and advance to the next frame with each increment. Plots with fewer frames display their final frame while the other plots complete the animation.
When all plots belong to frequency-based steps, the plots are animated as follows: - Loop over modes: All plots advance to their next mode with each increment until the last frame and mode is reached.
- Scale factor (default): The animation player steps through percentage intervals determined by the number of frames you select, and the model view changes accordingly in real time.
When you have a mix of plots having time based and frequency-based steps, the plots animate as follows: - Time history/Loop over: All plots advance to their next frame/mode until the last frame/mode of the plot having the maximum number of frames/modes.
- Scale factor (default): The animation player steps through percentage intervals determined by the number of frames you select, and the model view changes accordingly in real time.
