The selections in the Plot Options group box control the plotted variable and other aspects of the currently
displayed plot.
You can also customize its name.
Before you begin: You must have a contour plot or symbol plot displayed before you can modify plot options.
Do one of the following to display the Plot Options:
Click the results plot, and select the plot options tool in the context toolbar.
Double-click the results plot.
In the Results tabbed page of the Feature Manager, display the Plots list and then either double-click the plot you want to modify or highlight the plot and select Edit.
Click the tab to display the Plot Options selections.
In the Name field, specify a custom name for the currently selected plot.
From the Variable option, specify the output variable you want to plot. For composite sections, you can also specify the Ply layer for which you want to display data.
From the Quantity options, specify whether you want to plot the overall magnitude of the variable or an individual invariant or component.
For certain variables you can choose when to compute the quantity:
To compute the value at the node before averaging is applied, select Compute quantity before averaging.
To compute the value at the node after averaging is applied, deselect Compute quantity before averaging.
Click Close to exit the editor.
The plot changes according to your specifications.
