Changing the Current Axis

You can simultaneously snap the Robot to a selected object when changing current axis and then modify the orientation of the object. Alternatively, you can choose only to change the current axis or to list previous axes.

Changing the current axis modifies the reference point by which elements are routed and placed.

  1. Select an object.
  2. Click Current Axis .
    The axis is set to the default for the object.

  3. Select a different object and click Change Current Axis and Snap Compass .
    The current axis is set to the default for the object.

  4. Use the Robot to modify the orientation of the selected object.
  5. Click Current Axis History .

    The Local axis dialog box appears.

  6. Select the local axis (described by the object's name).
  7. Click OK.
