When creating or editing a Material Declaration for the IPC1752, the portal validates the data you enter:
- Class D validations:
- If you create a Component Node, the portal warns you if a node with that name already exists and does not create duplicate nodes.
- If you create a Material Node, the portal does not let you use a name or tradename that already exists.
- If you define a substance composition of a material, the portal verifies that the substance is not already contained by that material.
- Class C validation:
- If Above Threshold is set to true, a threshold value must be defined.
When submitting a Material Declaration, the portal performs the above data validations and then validates the submission:
- Verifies that all substances and applications exist in Materials Compliance Management
- Verifies that the Material Declaration complies with all rules in IPC 1752 Amendment 1.
If either of these validations fail, the portal opens a window that lists all the issues and does not submit the Material Declaration to Materials Compliance Management.
