From the Mold Structure section of the action bar, click Multiple Layout Inserts
.
The following publications are retrieved from the
Molded Part
- CavitySurface
- CoreSurface
- CavityInsert: Publication of the body that contains the physical Cavity Insert.
- CoreInsert: Publication of the body that contains the physical Core Insert.
- CavityInsertProtected: Publication of the body that contains the impact of the physical Cavity Insert.
- CoreInsertProtected: Publication of the body that contains the impact of the physical Core Insert.
- LBox, WBox,HBox: Publications of the parameter representing the length in X, Y or Z of the Molded Part bounding box.
- ZBox: Publication of the parameter representing the Z coordinate of the Molded Part hooking point.

Choose a pattern type to position the Prints.
creates a rectangular pattern. Define - The distance along the X-axis (L) between two
consecutive Prints (Spacing in X).
- The distance along Y-axis (W) between two
consecutive PrintsPrints (Spacing in Y).
- The number of instances (Prints) along X-axis
(L) (Nb Instances in X).
- The number of instances (Prints) along Y-axis
(W) (Nb Instances in Y).
creates a circular pattern. Define - The step angle between two consecutive Prints
(Angular Spacing).
The distance along radius between the pattern
center and a Print (Radial Spacing).
The number of instances (Prints) along the
circular pattern (Nb Instances). It is the total number of
instances dispatched on the circle.
Notes:
- You can switch from one pattern type to another, but the previous pattern is lost.
- When the number of instances is modified, the
corresponding step angle is updated.
- When the step angle is modified, the
corresponding number of instances is updated.
- Each Print has its Y axis aligned along the
corresponding radius of the pattern.
creates an user-defined pattern from a selected sketch.
- By default, the spacing is computed as the distance between the bounding boxes of two instances. Select Switch to spacing between centers to compute the spacing as the distance between the centers of two instances.
- Optional: On the context toolbar, apply a rotation to the Print.
The Multiple Layout
Insert product structure is created. It contains products, parts,
and representations with tooling types:
- The physical Cavity Layout product contains the physical Cavity Prints retrieved
from the Insert Unit.
- The physical Core Layout product contains the Core Prints retrieved from the Insert Unit.
- The physical Ejector Layout product contains the physical Ejector Prints retrieved
from the Insert Unit.
- The physical Runner Layout product contains the physical Runner Prints retrieved from
the Insert Unit.
- The required engineering connections are also created.
- An Component Specification is created on each vertex of the pattern, and stored in
a specific body. They are used to create the instances of the Prints.
- In 3D Shape Skeleton representations contain the published LBox, HBox, WBox
and ZBox parameters. They are used to dimension the Mold Base.
