Creating Mirror Features

You can duplicate a body or a list of features using a symmetry. In this case, a face or a plane can be defined as a mirror reference.


Before you begin: To perform this task, create a pad with a cylinder on top of it.

Creating Symmetries
  1. From the Transform or the Essentials section of the action bar, click Mirror .

    The Mirror.x dialog box appears.

  2. In the Object to mirror frame section, select the required object in the Object to mirror box.
    The Keep Specifications check box is available.
  3. In the Mirroring element box, select the mirroring planar element.
  4. Optional: Select the Keep Specifications check box.

    Note: If the Object to mirror contains non-movable elements or sub-elements like wireframe geometry, it is suggested to clear the Keep Specifications check box.

    The wireframe preview of the feature is displayed. The mirror of the feature is created with the same direction and limiting specifications such as up to next, up to last, up to plane, or up to surface.
