Reconnecting Adaptive Components in the Context

Adaptive Components considers the Adaptive Component to reconnect.

A table shows linked or isolated features found in the first 3D Shape of the Adaptive Component and displays their status relative to a possible automatic reconnection with the publications found under the UI active.

You can select one or several features and choose an action.

  • Manual reconnection: You select the feature or publication to which the selected feature will be reconnected.
  • Automatic reconnection: It searches publications similar to the ones the features were previously connected to.

Once the context has been defined by an existing external link, you cannot change it by another reconnection.

Recommendation: To work in the best possible context, perform an automatic reconnection first. Alternatively, if the context is not well defined, isolate all the features, and reconnect the feature that needs the highest context first, then the others.

Notes:
  • You cannot reconnect an isolated solid. Reconnection is done on the body that contains the solid.
  • Reconnecting an isolated feature does not reconnect other features pointing to it. However, existing links successfully modified during reconnection still work.
  • Internal links are not detected, nor reconnected.
