Activate a 3D Shape representation where
you want to create the
Component Specifications.

From the
Mold Design section of the
action bar,
click
Define Component Specifications
.

Click
and select the type of the component expected by
Component Specification.
- The selected type is memorized and proposed when you next enter
Define Component Specifications.
- It applies to all
Specification Inputs.

From the
Specifications list, choose a creation method.

To create
Component Specifications
from a pattern, see
Defining Input Patterns.

If you have selected
Individual Specifications, select points or
axis systems.
- Multiselection is available.
- Use the same
context menu
to create a missing point or axis system.

Expand
Axis System Modification.
Modifications apply to all
Specification Inputs.
Z Direction lets you select a linear geometry
used as the Z direction of the
Component Specification.
You can also select the default or the
Absolute Z direction from the
context menu.

When creating an
Component Specification
from a point, use the
context menu
in
Reference Axis System.
- Default (Absolute): The axis system is
created like the default one.
- Current Axis System: The axis system
is created like the current one.
- Create Axis System: You create one
axis system from the dialog box that appears.
- Create Axis System from Robot:
Position the
Robot,
then select this item to create an axis system from the
Robot
position.

Click
List View to list the
Component Specifications
with their destination in the
tree,
and their type.

Click
OK to create the
Component Specifications.

Right-click an
Component Specification
and select
Properties.

Optional: In the
Tooling Properties tab, click the type, and
select another one from the Types browser.
The dimensions relevant to the
selected type are displayed in the
Tooling Properties tab.

Enter the values for the proposed dimensions of the expected
Component,
either as nominal values, or as a range of values.
The proposed dimensions vary with the
type of the
Component.
They can be:
- Diameter
- Width
- Height
- Length
- Thickness
The expected type and dimensions are used to apply filters
when searching for a
Component

Enter
User Information, if any.

To edit existing
Component Specifications:
- Double-click an existing
Component Specification.
- Right-click an existing
Component Specification
and select
Definition.
- Select one or several
Component Specification
and select
Define Component Specifications from the
action bar.
You can edit the type, and axis system directions as
explained above.
Note:
If the
Component Specification
has been created with an older version, the
Axis System Definition dialog box opens
instead.

Right-click one or several
Component Specifications
and select
Delete to delete them.

To modify the position of an Component Specification, modify the position of its input (point or
axis system).
