Applying a Thickness

You can apply thickness onto a surface.

Before you begin: Create a 3D shape containing a surface.
  1. From the Idealize section of the action bar, click Thin Parts Attribute .
  2. In the Surface box, select the surface.
  3. In the Thickness 1 and Thickness 2 boxes, enter the input values or change the values using the arrows.

    You can change the Thickness 1 using the arrow on the surface.



  4. Click to invert the direction of thickness 1 and 2.
  5. Click OK to apply the thickness.
    Thicknesses 1 and 2 appear in the tree, as the surface's attributes.
