You can close surfaces using the Close
Surface command.
Select the surface to be closed.
From the ModelCreate section of the action bar, click Close Surface.
The Close Surface.x dialog box appears.
Select the required
Object to close.
Click
OK.
The surface is closed. CloseSurface.x
node is created in the tree.
Note:
If the Me > Preferences > App Preferences > 3D Modeling > 3D Modeling Core > Part Design > Feature > inherit surface colors from surface or reference
objects option is selected, the feature inherits input surface
feature colors.
Right-click the close surface feature node in the tree and select CloseSurface.x object > Reset surface colors to solid.
The feature no longer inherits the surface colors.
Note:
Similarly, if
the inherit surface colors from surface or reference
objects option is cleared, you can right-click the node and
select CloseSurface.x object > Inherit input surface color.
