Adding Parameters to a Template Definition

You can add parameters to a template definition. Adding a parameter to a template definition makes it possible to modify its value at instantiation time.

Before you begin: A reference or a representation must be available for selection in the tree.

Note: Inputs and parameters are only defined within the engineering template definition for components with To Duplicate behavior at instantiation.

From the Engineering Templates app, Click .
From the Objects section click the parameter that you want to add.
Click to add the selected parameter to the Selected objects section. Click to remove the parameter from the Selected objects section.
Click OK to finish and close the Selected parameters dialog box.
