Adding a Reference to a Template Definition

You can add a reference to a template definition.

  1. From the Engineering Template section, click Add Reference to Template Definition .
  2. Enter your search criteria in the top bar and click Search.

    The query is run only on attributes that are part of the identifier set. The identifier set lets you associate a list of character attributes to a given object.

    Note: An identifier set consists of identification attributes used in some PLM objects. Identifier set attributes identify a component that share the components of the same PLM type and customization.

  3. Click Search.
    Tip:
    • By default, the Details view is displayed.
    • To display the search results in thumbnail view, click Thumbnails .
    • To display the search results in Tile view, click .
  4. To start a query on each attribute (and not only on the identifier set), click Advanced Search to open the Search Criteria dialog box.
  5. Click Apply to start the query or OK to start the query and close the dialog box.
  6. Select the objects (multiselection is supported) displayed in the search results, then click OK to insert the references.
    The selected object is now displayed in the tree in the Components to process section.
