Converting Imported Curves and Edges

You can import curves or edges from other apps and convert them into trace curves.


Before you begin: Import several curves or edges.
  1. From the Traces section of the action bar, tap Conversion to Trace Curve .
    Options are available in the Graphic Properties frame at the right of the screen.
  2. Optional: Set your Trace options as desired.
    OptionDescription
    Opacity (%) Drag the slider or edit the value to define the opacity of the curve (as a percentage).
    Thickness (mm) Drag the slider or edit the value to define the curve thickness.
    Note: You can set your trace options at any time while tracing.
  3. Do either of the following:
    • Select Stroke selection to convert curves or edges by striking through them.
    • Select Trap selection to convert curves or edges by tracing around them.
    An information panel appears with the number of converted curves or edges.
    Note: In the tree, the new trace curves are created in the same geometrical set as the original curves or edges.
  4. To modify converted curves or edges, tap Direct Modification .
    Note: The original curves or edges cannot be modified.
