Completing a PPR Structure Automatically

You can use the PPR Smart Completion command to automatically complete a PPR structure.

In the scenario below, a manufactured item is selected for smart completion.

  1. Search a manufactured item by means of a query.
  2. From the Search results, right-click the desired manufactured item and select Explore with > Explore with Manufacturing Finder.
    A navigation tab is displayed, showing the selected manufactured item under the Manufactured Item fake node.



  3. Select the manufactured item and the System fake node in the tree. Right-click the manufactured item node and select PPR Smart Completion.

    Note: To access the command you can also click PPR Smart Completion from the PPR Navigation section of the action bar.

    The system structure is completed corresponding to the links that were found to the selected manufactured item.



  4. Select the manufactured item and the PPR fake node in the tree. Right-click the manufactured item node and select PPR Smart Completion.
    The remaining structures are completed according to the links that were found on the selected manufactured item.



  5. Expand the tree to see how the structures were completed with the various product, manufactured item, system, operation and resource objects.



  6. Check the result using Implement Links Analysis in B.I. Essentials. If needed, collapse or expand any branch you wish before using Open.
  7. Right-click the PPR node and select Open Advanced.
    The Open Advanced dialog box appears.
  8. In the dialog box, set the options so that selected components are opened with all representations and with their visible expanded children, and click OK.

    The PPR structure is opened in an authoring tab.
