Part Design is designed to create precise 3D mechanical shapes with an intuitive and flexible user interface, from sketching in an assembly context to iterative detailed design.

Depending on your role, you may not have access to all functionalities.

The Part Design app enables you to accommodate design requirements for 3D shapes of various complexities, from simple to advance, with following key capabilities:

  • Design precise 3D mechanical shapes with an intuitive and flexible user interface, from sketching in an assembly context to iterative detailed design.
  • Feature-based design with the flexibility of a Boolean approach, offering a highly productive and intuitive design environment with multiple design methodologies, such as post-design and local 3D parameterization.

As a scalable app, Part Design can be used in cooperation with other current or future companion apps such as Assembly Design and Drafting. The widest app portfolio in the industry is also accessible through interoperability with Version 4 solutions and Version 5 solutions to enable support of the full product development process from initial concept to product in operation.

This product might use or depict Intellectual Property (IP) protected data. It is the user’s responsibility to safeguard the IP protected data when allowing others to view, export, or print the data. This includes the thumbnail representations of parts or assemblies used in markup screens.
