Removing Bodies

Remove lets you remove a body from another body via a Boolean operation. Removing a body from another body means removing the material of the first body which is common with the second from the latter.

  1. In the Remove box select the body to be removed.
  2. In the To box select another body from which the earlier selected body will be removed.

By default, it is proposed to assemble the selected body with PartBody if no other body exists in the tree.

Important: Editing a Remove feature is possible. To do so, double-click the feature and then select the new body to be removed.
    • The material of the body common with the PartBody is removed from the PartBody .
    • A new node denoting the Boolean operation, Remove.x, is now included in the tree under the PartBody node. The body is moved under the Boolean operator node in the tree.
