Creating Face-Face Fillets

Face-Face Fillet lets you create a face to face fillet by selecting two faces. The Face-Face Fillet command is generally used when there is no intersection between the faces or when there are more than two sharp edges between the faces.

This task shows you how to:

Create a Basic Face-Face Fillet

  1. Select the faces you want to fillet.
  2. In the Radius box, enter a radius value.
  3. Click Options for more options and information.
  4. In the Limiting element box, select the required elements.
    An arrow appears on the plane to indicate the portion of material that is to be filleted.
  5. Optional: Click the arrow to reverse the direction.
  6. Click OK.
    The faces are filleted. The fillet is trimmed by the trimming plane. The element is introduced in the tree.

Create a Face-face Fillet Using a Hold Curve

  1. Select two faces as shown in the image below. Click Options to access further options.
  2. In the Hold Curve box, select a curve.
  3. In the Spine box, select the required spine .
  4. Repeat the operation and select another spine.
