Disconnecting Solid Faces

You can disconnect a Solid Face with a wire network and keep all faces in a single feature.

This task shows you how to:

Before you begin: Open a 3D shape containing a wire network.
Notes:
  • The wire network must be a single feature that contains one or more wires, for example a sketch or a join.
  • The length of the disconnecting wire network must be greater than, or equal to the length of the disconnecting solid face, in the direction of disconnect.
  • If the wire network does not lie on the Solid Face to disconnect, it will be projected onto it normally.
  • You can disconnect one solid face at a time.
