Querying a Mechanical Interface

You can select a mechanical interface to highlight all geometrical features related to it. Similarly, select a geometrical feature and highlight the mechanical interface related to it.

Before you begin: Open an existing 3D shape with a mechanical interface instantiated on it.
  1. From the Tools section of the action bar, click App Options .

    Tip: You can also access app options by right-clicking anywhere in the 3D area and selecting Display > App Options.

  2. Select 3D Master Query .
  3. Select the mechanical interface in the tree.
    • The corresponding mechanical interface representation and the respective geometry is highlighted in the 3D area.
    • The corresponding publications of the mechanical interface are highlighted in the tree.
  4. Select the mechanical interface representation or a geometrical feature in the 3D area.
    The corresponding mechanical interface representation and the publications of the mechanical interface are highlighted in the tree.
