Creating Chamfers Using Vertex Selection

You can create chamfers on three concurrent edges by selecting the common vertex.


Before you begin: Open a 3D shape representation with three concurrent edges.
  1. From the Refine or the Essentials section of the action bar, click Chamfer .
    The Chamfer.x dialog box appears.
  2. Select the common vertex of the three concurrent edges to be chamfered.
    The three edges are added to the Object(s) to chamfer box.
  3. Define the chamfer as required. See Creating Chamfers.
  4. Right click the Chamfer Corner(s) box and select Create by Edges or Vertex.
    Without Chamfer Corner(s)

    With Chamfer Corner(s)

  5. Define the setback distance in Active setback box.
  6. Define all the setback distances.
    The edge chamfers are created. Chamfer.x node is added to the tree.
