Creating Edge Fillets

Edge fillets are smooth transitional surfaces between two adjacent faces. You can fillet several edges.

  1. From the Refine or the Essentials section of the action bar, click Edge Fillet .
    The Edge Fillet.x dialog box appears.
  2. In the Edge Fillet.x dialog box, click .
    The dialog box displays options required for edge fillet creation.
  3. Select an edge.
    The selected edge appears in the Object(s) to fillet box. The app displays the radius value.
    Tip: The icon available in the Object(s) to fillet box, lets you edit the list of the faces to be filleted.
  4. From the Propagation: list, select Tangency.
    The preview shows that the whole edge will be filleted.

  5. In the Radius box, enter a radius value. The radius value is updated in the work area.
  6. Select multiple edges.


  7. Click OK.

    The edges are filleted. The creation of this fillet is indicated in the tree.



  8. Click Edge Fillet and select a face as the new element to be filleted.
  9. Enter a radius value.
  10. Click Options to access additional options.
  11. Click the Limiting element box and select a plane that intersects the fillet.

    The fillet is trimmed up to the Limiting element. Both fillets are displayed in the tree.



  12. Optional: Select the Tracks creation check box to create permanent features for the tracks of the edge fillet ribbons.

    Note: These two tracks remain at the same position with respect to the support face.
