Patterning User Defined Features (UDFs)

You can pattern a user defined feature using two methods.


Before you begin: To perform this task, create and instantiate a user defined feature (UDF).

  1. From the Transform section of the action bar, click Rectangular Pattern .
  2. Select the user-defined feature (UDF) to duplicate. Here the pattern is treated as a single feature. The Keep specifications check box becomes unavailable for selection.

    Note: You can perform the above steps in any order.
    Warning: Avoid patterning a list of user-defined features (UDF). If you try to create a pattern of a list of UDFs, an error message is displayed.
    Important:
    • You can pattern only UDF solids composed of one single feature.
    • Patterning UDFs is allowed in Part Design, not in Generative Shape Design.
