Creating Close Surface Features

You can close surfaces using the Close Surface command.

About Close Surface Features
  1. Select the surface to be closed.


  2. From the section of the action bar, click Close Surface .
    The Close Surface.x dialog box appears.
  3. Select the required Object to close.
  4. Click OK.
    The surface is closed. CloseSurface.x node is created in the tree.
    Note: If the Me > Preferences > App Preferences > 3D Modeling > 3D Modeling Core > Part Design > Feature > inherit surface colors from surface or reference objects option is selected, the feature inherits input surface feature colors.


  5. Right-click the close surface feature node in the tree and select CloseSurface.x object > Reset surface colors to solid.
    The feature no longer inherits the surface colors.
    Note: Similarly, if the inherit surface colors from surface or reference objects option is cleared, you can right-click the node and select CloseSurface.x object > Inherit input surface color.
