About Types

Model instances inserted in the work area contain ports and hierarchical ports with specific types.

Simple Types

Supported types in Systems Experience Player correspond to the FMU basic types and are the following:

  • Boolean
  • Integer
  • Double
  • String

Hierarchical Port Types

A hierarchical port is a group of ports of same type and same direction.

Direction

The direction of a port or a hierarchical port is input or output.

Local Variables and Parameters

An instance can contain local variables or parameters, which can be modified in execution.

Tip: You can show or hide local variables and parameters using Show or Hide Model Variables from the standard section of the action bar.
